Basic Rules (2014) - Modified
5-level Conjuration
Swarming, biting locusts fill a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on a point you choose within range. The sphere spreads around corners. The sphere remains for the duration, and its area is lightly obscured. The sphere's area is difficult terrain.
When the swarm appears, each creature in it makes a Constitution saving throw, taking 3d10 Piercing damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature also makes this save when it enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there. A creature makes this save only once per turn.
A plant creature makes the saving throw with disadvantage, and the spell deals maximum damage to it. A plant that isn't a creature, such as a tree or shrub, doesn't make a saving throw, it is simply consumed. If you are within 300 feet of the sphere, you can move it up to 30 feet as a bonus action on your turn.
The damage increases by 1d10 for each spell slot level above 5.
