Keruznikal - Land of Dissonance
Weapon [Versatile (1d10), Magical] Rare
This is a brightly polished old battleaxe of dwarvish manufacture. Runes in Dwarvish on the axe head read, “Hew." Until recently, the blade was covered in a thick layer of rust. Veldrin Rostarr, upon finding Hew in the lair of a young green dragon by the name of Venomfang, took it to a blacksmith in the city of Neverwinter and had the blade polished to a glossy finish. The smith did an excellent job, and the metal of the axe head looks as clean and sharp as the day it was forged. Hew is a +1 battleaxe that deals maximum damage when the wielder hits a plant creature or an object made of wood. The axe’s creator was a dwarf smith who feuded with the dryads of a forest where he cut firewood. Whoever carries the axe feels uneasy whenever he or she travels through a forest. Hew is considered a magical weapon for overcoming resistances.
