Special Maneuvers
Aphorini Hive Psionics - If you are an Aphorini, you may choose to unleash a massive amount of your stored psychic energy when you make an attack with this weapon by using your Bonus Action. You may expend a number of additional charges equal to your Proficiency Bonus and add that same number of damage dice to your roll. Targets that failed their saves versus this attack are afflicted with the Suppressed condition until the end of your next turn. Once you have used this maneuver, you may not use it again until you finish a Short or Long rest.
Concentrated Blast - Unleash your psychic energy in a 45 by 5 ft. line as an attack and expend two charges to deal 2d8 Psychic Damage in the area of effect. All targets inside the area of effect must make an Intelligence saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + your Intelligence Modifier. Successful saves only take half damage. Failed saves take the rolled damage.
Subjugator Attack - Expend a charge to make an attack roll against a single target and deal 3d8 Psychic damage on a successful attack. The target is then Dazed until the end of your next turn.
Wide Area Blast - Unleash your psychic energy in a 20 ft. Cone as an attack and expend two charges to deal 2d8 Psychic Damage in the area of effect. All targets inside the area of effect must make an Intelligence saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + your Intelligence Modifier. Successful saves only take half damage. Failed saves take the rolled damage.
 
Special Properties
Area of Effect - This weapon deals psychic damage in a 20 ft. cone or a 45 by 5 foot cone. All targets inside the area of effect must make an Intelligence saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + your Intelligence Modifier. Successful saves only take half damage. Failed saves take the rolled damage and are unable to use their Reactions and must subtract 1d4 from any Ability Checks or Attack Rolls they make until the end of your next turn.
Psionics-Restricted - Only psychic-sensitive users may utilize this weapon. Only Aphorini are capable of using the special maneuver: Hive Psionics to increase its number of damage dice once per Short or Long rest.
 
Loading: This weapon regains all of its charges after finishing a Long Rest.
 
Jamming: This weapon does not jam.
 
Handling: 1-Handed  
      
    The psi-blast weaponry that the Aphorini use can deal debilitating psychic damage to opponents caught unprepared, as most enemies do not have equipment that can withstand the attacks. This weapon is effectively an energy shotgun that fires a blast of psionic energy. It utilizes Aetherion Crystals embedded in the fingers of a sort of glove mechanism with three electrodes wired to the user. The Aphorini can amplify this damage with their own powers, adding their proficiency bonus in number of damage die to the attack, but this Special Maneuver can only be used once per Short or Long Rest. Praetorians use this weapon to great effect to suppress and subjugate opponents.
