Ascendance
5-level Transmutation
Casting Time: Bonus Action
Range/Area: Self
Components: V
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You shed your mortal limits and assume an ascended elemental form based on your Shamanic Tradition. For the duration, your body becomes wreathed in elemental power, your voice echoes with the spirits, and your magic is visibly empowered.
Choose the form tied to your Shamanic Tradition:
Elemental Ascendance: Your body becomes living flame, storm, and molten earth. Once on each of your turns when you cast a Shaman spell that deals fire, lightning, thunder, cold, or nature damage, you may cause that spell to deal additional damage equal to 2d8 + your spellcasting modifier to one target damaged by the spell.
In addition, your Lava Burst and Elemental Blast spells count as critical hits on a roll of 19 or 20.
Enhancement Ascendance: Your weapons and limbs become extensions of the storm. Once on each of your turns when you hit with a weapon attack, you may immediately make one additional weapon attack against the same target or another creature within your reach.
In addition, your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d8 nature, lightning, or fire damage, your choice when you hit.
Restoration Ascendance: You become a living vessel of ancestral water and spirit. Once on each of your turns when you restore hit points to a creature with a Shaman spell, another creature of your choice within 30 feet of the healed target regains hit points equal to half the healing received, rounded down.
In addition, when you cast a Shaman healing spell, one target of that spell gains temporary hit points equal to your spellcasting modifier.
Once you cast this spell, you cannot cast it again until you finish a long rest.
