This is my hear me out.....
The story you are currently about to read is the rough draft of The Night of Wings and Embers, so please bear with me. I do intend to go back through and edit it later, but for now, I just want to write the story. I am NOT looking for critiques at the moment.
This story is also a rewrite of a draft for a series I had intended to write with an ex-boyfriend back when I was in high school. A lot has changed since then, and so has the story. Character names have even changed and even the dragons have changed to become phoenixes. But the biggest factor is the lore for the world. I wasn't great at worldbuilding when I was younger -- the heaps of notebooks and binders I still have is -- *shivers* -- a nightmare. World Anvil has helped me organize everything into useful slots, and now, I have found that The Night of Wings and Embers is part of a bigger universe, one where I'm going to running my very first D&D campaign in the next month or so!
While I have set this story in The Keepers world, it is but a fraction of the universe as a whole. You can actually find its entirety in the Shattered World, the main host for my D&D campaign. There you can see the world map, instead of a small portion, like Ekari. Also, can you please be patient with me over there as well. I am currently trying to fix the timelines across the Shattered World and the Keepers, as well as some pieces of lore.
