#3: Sunbasker

Invented by: Miqo Morquela
Type: Curative
Complexity: Moderate (C4)
We use it for: sleep aid, relaxant, leisure (and potentially sabotage)

Appearance: mahoghany brown with transparent yellow swirls, has been said to resemble certain types of rich/adulterated coffee. Viscosity is water-equivalent, can sometimes be slightly thicker if creme is added/mixed in.

Taste: caramel with notes of pumpkin and liquid sunlight. Sweet and smooth, but not overpowering if it is prepared correctly.

Effect: produces a lazy, drowsy warmth in the consumant, similar to what one experiences when lying in a beam of sunlight, or after a hearty winter meal in the evening. Helps relax muscles and alleviates light soreness. As the name indicates, replicates the sensation of being a cat basking in a sunbeam.

Notes

  • Useful for those that struggle with getting to sleep. A shot before bed works for most people. Can also be used to help alleviate soreness after a day of physical labor. Do not use as a pain reliever regularly; only when needed. Some mortals have developed dependencies and they are hard to break. -Miqo
  • Good for helping the kids get to sleep when they're fussy. Keep the dosage low, though; no more than a thimble for children under twelve. -Miqo
  • Useful for lacing drinks when you want to kidnap someone or encourage some guards to take an unplanned nap while they're on shift. Best used when the target is already tired and just needs a little push over the edge to get them to sleep. Added a note in the Uses section. -Solebarr
