Erdenfold
Dwargs are hardy people of the earth, the keepers of the underground. Despite their short stature, they are as resilient as the stone cliffs and cavern walls of their clan-cities. They are also headstrong in their ways as oral traditionalists and specialists, and tend not to write down their records as a matter of principle. Instead, dwargs rely on their communities' oral records for everything from laws to myths and legends. The few who venture outside the secluded cities of the highlands bring with them a hoard of hidden knowledge, especially in craftsmanship and magic. A single dwarg can live for nearly half a millennium, dedicated to a single craft, gleaning secrets from the stories of the forefathers of his trade.
Superior Darkvision. Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Stony Skin. Your tough earthen skin alone protects you better than some crafted armors. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 12 + your Constitution modifier. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
Dwargish Secrets. Whether it's uncovering the ancient-honed technique of smiths past or poring over secrets of spellcraft, a dwarg's knowledge in his chosen life-craft is unmatched. You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Arcana, History, Medicine, Nature, or one type of artisan's tools. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses the chosen skill or tool proficiency.
Dwarg Magic. You know Mending or Prestidigitation and one other transmutation cantrip of your choice from the wizard spell list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for them.
Dwargs range in size from around 2 feet to just under 4 feet tall and between 80 and 160 pounds, with a stout build and square facial features. Their thick skin resembles dark, tough earth accented with cracks and ravines that deepen and develop with age, much like the wrinkles of humans and elves. The coloration of this stony skin can reveal unique and intricate folds, patterns, and textures like bands of minerals in rock.
