One of the final designs of Waterdeep's former Deputy Commander of the City Watch, a brilliant artificer whose disappearance remains a closely guarded secret. Although the apparatus was fully designed, no prototype was ever constructed.
Its operation requires an extraordinarily pure manacrystal core, a component believed impossible to acquire through ordinary means.
The apparatus contains four potion slots and is capable of refining or combining them through carefully controlled alchemical procedures.
Project Work
When beginning a process, the operator makes an Intelligence check once every hour.Each successful check contributes one Work Point toward the process.
Failed checks count toward the process's Failure Limit.
If the Failure Limit is exceeded, the process immediately fails and all ingredients are destroyed.
Amplification
The apparatus can enhance up to 4 potions' potency, elevating them to their next rarity if possible.Upon completion, each potion placed within the apparatus increases by one rarity tier. If no official higher-rarity version exists, the DM determines the enhanced effects.

Mixology
The apparatus can combine two different potions into a new concoction. The required Work is based on the higher-rarity potion used.Upon completion, the apparatus produces two identical mixed concoctions. Each contains the effects of both original potions. The DM determines how conflicting effects interact.
