Paladins who swear the Oath of Silence have stood witness to things that break the rules of the cosmos itself. Whether they glimpsed a cosmological horror, a dark secret, or a fate unforseen, these warriors choose to seal their voices rather than risk spreading that knowledge. Their silence is not weakness, but willpower. Through it, they follow in Agememnon; "The ever silent"'s ways, and learn to listen to the pull of gravity, and the quiet threads of fate binding all things.
These paladins wield unseen forces, bending mass and fate to their will. Their presence alone feels heavy, as if the cosmos itself acknowledges the burden they carry.
Silence
Speak only when necessary, if at all, and never without purpose.
Bear the Weight
You have seen what others have not. Carry their burdens so they do not have to.
Bind the Inevitable
Fate is not to be broken, but guided. Ensure that what must happen, does.
Stillness is Strength
In quiet, there is clarity. In restraint, there is power.
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
| Paladin Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Feather fall, silent image |
| 5th | Silence, levitate |
| 9th | slow, pulse wave |
| 13th | banishment, gravity sinkhole |
| 17th | hold monster, telekinesis |
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following Channel Divinity option.
Gravitic Collapse
As an action, you target a point you can see within 30 feet. Creatures of your choice within 10 feet of that point must make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, they are pulled to the center, and take force damage equal to 2d10 + your paladin level. On a success, they take half damage and are not pulled.
Starting at 7th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against being moved against their will. Additionally, hostile creatures treat the area as difficult terrain.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Starting at 15th level, when a creature within your Aura of Stillness attempts to cast a spell with a verbal component, you may expend a use of channel divinity. Upon doing so the spell fails and their action is wasted.
Additionally, when a creature within your aura attempts to teleport or be moved by magical means, you can use your reaction to prevent it. The creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or the effect fails, as gravity anchors it in place.
At 20th level, as an action, you undergo a transformation that lasts for 1 minute:
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
