D&D 5.5e Dungeon Master's Guide
Poison
Varies Natural
burning Othur creates a cloud of fumes in a 10 foot Emanation centered on the burning Othur. Burning Othur then quickly sealing it within a air tight vessel allows you to store this 10 foot emanation until the vessel is opened.
A creature that inhales Burnt Othur Fumes must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take 10 (3d6) Poison damage, and it must repeat the save at the start of each of its turns. On each successive failed save, the creature takes 3 (1d6) Poison damage. After three successful saves, the poison ends.
Othur is a combination of _____, ___, and ____ that, when burnt, releases a fairly deadly gas. It causes internal bleeding within the lungs, and can quickly be the end of an unsuspecting foe. Assassins use it as a very obvious and open kill, as the odor is easy to smell from far away.
