Casting Time: 1 reaction (which you take when a creature within 60 feet is reduced to 0 hit points)

Materials: 1 Soul Shard
Duration: Instantaneous
Attack/Save: Constitution saving throw
You siphon lingering death magic and fling it into another creature’s soul.
Choose one creature within range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw.
On a failed save, the target takes 2d8 Shadow damage and becomes rotted until the end of your next turn.
The next time the rotted creature takes Shadow or necrotic damage before the end of your next turn, it takes additional Shadow damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
On a successful save, the target takes half damage and is not rotted.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell, you may spend 1 Soul Shard. If you do, choose one additional creature within 10 feet of the original target. The second creature must also make the saving throw.
