Peregrin, the Walking City
Striding through the northern plains an alabaster bull, larger than some mountains, supports an entire city on its back. It is known as the Walking City and is where the automatons and their allies call home. Clockwork wonders can be found in the cobbled streets and marble alleyways of Peregrin. Missing limbs can be replaced with silver and gold. But as with all magic, a price must be paid. The Walking City of Peregrin was created nearly two centuries ago by the mysterious automaton known as Volken. He is rumored to be made entirely of a blessed silver metal found nowhere else on Shira'tol. Volken serves a god known only as The Maker, spreading the word of useful service and pride in craftsmanship. Many people doubt the validity of the Maker as a god, but his followers are said to perform miracles of healing and skill. The city is such a wonder of clockwork and magic that it is easy to believe some god had a hand in its making. Whatever the reality of the Maker's divinity, Peregrin is a place where miracles can happen.
The Alabaster Bull
The massive bovine foundation of Peregrin possesses so much fine detail that it looks like a living bull, only made of stone and towering over the landscape. And, as the nickname of the city suggests, it walks. The footsteps of the city can be felt miles away and its progress can be easily tracked by the cascade of dust in its wake. Though it surely weighs many millions of tons, it does not leave craters in the ground thanks to the many enchantments upon the stone of its hooves. The Walking City travels at the whim and command of Volken who directs the city from the temple forge of the Maker at the head of the bull. It does not travel quickly, but its strides are long as it moves from allied town to resource, from trade center to hunting grounds.

Large city
May I ask... Where is the city going? Does it have a prescribed path, or is it always moving in one direction? How would people catch up to the city? I am also curious as to what price must be paid in order to gain these new and powerful limbs. I think this is quite a fun and vivid entry to the prompt! Great work.
