The Library will pay you 5 gp to retrieve it. You will earn you 1 reputation point within the Order for each book you retrieve. Every 5 reputation points earned increases this amount by 5 gp. Also, local merchants will offer you a discount on items you purchase in your attempt to retrieve said book.
