You\r\nautomatically revert if you fall unconscious, drop to\r\n0 hit points, or die.\r\nWhile you are transformed, the following rules apply:\r\n\r\n\u2022 Your game statistics are replaced by the statistics of\r\nthe beast, but you retain your alignment, personality,\r\nand Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. You\r\nalso retain all of your skill and saving throw proficiencies, in addition to gaining those of the creature. If\r\nthe creature has the same proficiency as you and the\r\nbonus in its stat block is higher than yours, use the\r\ncreature\u2019s bonus instead of yours. If the creature has\r\nany legendary or lair actions, you can't use them.\r\n\r\n\u2022 When you transform, you assume the beast\u2019s hit\r\npoints and Hit Dice. When you revert to your normal\r\nform, you return to the number of hit points you had\r\nbefore you transformed. However, if you revert as a\r\nresult of dropping to 0 hit points, any excess damage\r\ncarries over to your normal form. For example, if you\r\ntake 10 damage in animal form and have only 1 hit\r\npoint left, you revert and take 9 damage. As long as\r\nthe excess damage doesn\u2019t reduce your normal form\r\nto 0 hit points, you aren\u2019t knocked unconscious.\r\n\r\n\u2022 You can\u2019t cast spells, and your ability to speak or\r\ntake any action that requires hands is limited to the\r\ncapabilities of your beast form. Transforming doesn\u2019t\r\nbreak your concentration on a spell you\u2019ve already\r\ncast, however, or prevent you from taking actions that\r\nare part of a spell, such as [i]@[Lightning Storm](spell:8f7b9c80-cb94-4c22-b655-82eb0312ee0e)[\/i], that you\u2019ve\r\nalready cast.\r\n\r\n\u2022 You retain the benefit of any features from your class,\r\nbirthsign, or other source and can use them if the new\r\nform is physically capable of doing so, racial special features however, do not carry over.
