You learn additional warlock cantrips of your choice at higher levels, as shown in the Cantrips Known column of the Warlock table.\r\n\r\n\r\n[b]Spell Slots[\/b]\r\nThe Warlock table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your warlock spells of 1st through 5th level. The table also shows what the level of those slots is; all of your spell slots are the same level. To cast one of your warlock spells of 1st level or higher, you must expend a spell slot. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a short or long rest.\r\n\r\nFor example, when you are 5th level, you have two 3rd-level spell slots. To cast the 1st-level spell witch bolt, you must spend one of those slots, and you cast it as a 3rd-level spell.\r\n\r\nSpells Known of 1st Level and Higher\r\nAt 1st level, you know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the warlock spell list.\r\n\r\nThe Spells Known column of the Warlock table shows when you learn more warlock spells of your choice of 1st level or higher. A spell you choose must be of a level no higher than what's shown in the table's Slot Level column for your level. When you reach 6th level, for example, you learn a new warlock spell, which can be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd level.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the warlock spells you know and replace it with another spell from the warlock spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots.\r\n\r\n[b]Spellcasting Ability[\/b]\r\nCharisma is your spellcasting ability for your warlock spells, so you use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a warlock spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.\r\n\r\n[i]Spell save DC[\/i] = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier\r\n\r\n[i]Spell attack modifier[\/i] = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier\r\n\r\n[b]Spellcasting Focus[\/b]\r\nYou can use an arcane focus as a spellcasting focus for your warlock spells.\r\n","class_features":"[b]Eldritch Invocations[\/b]\r\nIn your study of occult lore, you have unearthed Eldritch Invocations, fragments of forbidden knowledge that imbue you with an abiding magical ability.\r\n\r\nAt 2nd level, you gain two eldritch invocations of your choice. When you gain certain warlock levels, you gain additional invocations of your choice, as shown in the Invocations Known column of the Warlock table. A level prerequisite refers to your level in this class.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the invocations you know and replace it with another invocation that you could learn at that level.\r\n[b]\r\nAbility Score Improvement[\/b]\r\nWhen you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.\r\n\r\n[b]Eldritch Versatility (Optional)[\/b]\r\nWhenever you reach a level in this class that grants the Ability Score Improvement feature, you can do one of the following, representing a change of focus in your occult studies:\r\n\r\nReplace one cantrip you learned from this class's Pact Magic feature with another cantrip from the warlock spell list.\r\nReplace the option you chose for the Pact Boon feature with one of that feature's other options.\r\nIf you're 12th level or higher, replace one spell from your Mystic Arcanum feature with another warlock spell of the same level.\r\nIf this change makes you ineligible for any of your Eldritch Invocations, you must also replace them now, choosing invocations for which you qualify.\r\n\r\n[b]Mystic Arcanum[\/b]\r\nAt 11th level, your patron bestows upon you a magical secret called an arcanum. Choose one 6th-level spell from the warlock spell list as this arcanum.\r\n\r\nYou can cast your arcanum spell once without expending a spell slot. You must finish a long rest before you can do so again.\r\n\r\nAt higher levels, you gain more warlock spells of your choice that can be cast in this way: one 7th-level spell at 13th level, one 8th-level spell at 15th level, and one 9th-level spell at 17th level. You regain all uses of your Mystic Arcanum when you finish a long rest.\r\n\r\n[b]Eldritch Master[\/b]\r\nAt 20th level, you can draw on your inner reserve of mystical power while entreating your patron to regain expended spell slots. At 1st level the Soul Star can occupy a\r\nConstruct, an object modified especially for it. It must be a\r\nnon-magical object of size small or smaller, and cannot be a\r\nweapon or piece of armour. The Soul Star itself will take on\r\nan elemental form within that object. E.g. the object might be\r\na lantern, held by a handle or propelled by wings and the\r\nSoul Star might take the form of the flame burning within, or\r\nthe Soul Star might take the form of a gem set into a treasure\r\nchest, which is able to move with a set of mechanised legs.\r\nThe Soul Star is able to communicate and knows the same\r\nlanguages as you do.\r\nThe Soul Star is able to occupy objects, using its power to\r\nanimate them. Its hit points are\r\ncalculated the same way as a Player Character's would be\r\nwith its effective level matching your Warlock level.\r\n\r\nIt is immune to charm effects and psychic damage.\r\nThe Construct gains a walking, swimming or flying speed\r\nof 30ft. (whichever is most appropriate). As you gain levels in\r\nthis class, the maximum size of the construct increases,\r\nthough the largest Constructs cannot fly. The largest\r\nConstruct which can gain a fly speed is shown in the table\r\nbelow.\r\nThe Construct occupied by the Soul Star may be changed,\r\nor fixed if it is broken, during the course of a long rest, using\r\n10GP of materials and tinker's tools (which you gain\r\nproficiency in). It is unaffected by healing spells, but the\r\nMending spell or spending an hour with tinker's tools can be\r\nused to restore 2d6 hitpoints to it once per short rest.\r\nThe Construct cannot attack, but it can take the Help,\r\nDodge, Dash, Disengage, Use Object and Shove actions. In\r\naddition, when casting spells, as long as the Construct is\r\nvisible, it can be used as a conduit for the spell, making the\r\nspell emanate from the construct. It acts on your initiative in\r\ncombat.\r\n\r\n[b]Death[\/b]\r\nWhen the Construct reaches 0 Hit Points, it is broken, and\r\nceases to be animated, however the Soul Star remains inside,\r\nconscious and living, and cannot be killed. If the Soul Star\r\nitself is lost, you may spend an hour performing a ritual to\r\nsummon it into your hands in whichever elemental form it\r\nwas in while occupying the construct.\r\nIf you die, the Soul Star also dies, and disappears. Any\r\nmagic that restores you also restores the Soul Star, who may\r\nbe re-summoned via the same ritual which restores it if it is\r\nlost.\r\n\r\n[b]Improved Construct[\/b]\r\nAt 6th level, your Soul Star's Construct improves according to\r\nthe table below. If the construct is at least size Large and has\r\na definite inside-and-outside, its inside is now vastly\r\nexpanded into an extra-dimensional space, and cannot be\r\nopened by anyone the Soul Star does not allow. Its maximum\r\ninternal volume is also shown on the table below. If the\r\nConstruct is destroyed, its contents burst forth from its\r\nremains.\r\n[b]Star Door[\/b]\r\nAt 10th level, if the construct possesses a door, you can\r\nperform a special ritual that lasts 8 hours connecting its door\r\nto any door which you have spent 1 hour drawing an intricate\r\nrune upon. By adjusting a mechanism in the construct you\r\nare able to create a portal between the doorway on the inside\r\nof the construct, and the corresponding doorframe. This can\r\nbe done even if the chosen door is on another plane of\r\nexistence, however you must have travelled there yourself in\r\norder to set the rune upon the door. The connection is broken\r\nif the doorframe is destroyed, and you may only have up to 3\r\nactive connections at a time.\r\n\r\n[b]Soul Sanctuary[\/b]\r\nAt 14th level, your Soul Star's Construct can become a\r\nsanctuary for you and your allies. While inside the internal\r\nvolume of your Soul Star's Construct, you cannot be targeted\r\nby spells or ranged attacks, and you are unaffected by area\r\neffects, though the Construct automatically fails any saving\r\nthrows against such effects while sheltering you.\r\nIn addition, your life force is now closely tied to the Soul\r\nStar's. If you die while the Soul Star has an active Construct\r\nwith an extra-dimensional internal space, your body can\r\nimmediately reform inside the space, totally restored, minus\r\nany equipment or items you were carrying at the time. You\r\ncan only do this once per long rest.\r\n[table]\r\n[tr]\r\n[th]Warlock Level[\/th]\r\n[th]Hit Die[\/th]\r\n[th]Speed[\/th]\r\n[th]Str[\/th]\r\n[th]Dex[\/th]\r\n[th]Con[\/th]\r\n[th]Int[\/th]\r\n[th]Wis[\/th]\r\n[th]Cha[\/th]\r\n[th]Max Size[\/th]\r\n[th]Carrying Capacity[\/th]\r\n[th]Internal Volume[\/th]\r\n[\/tr]\r\n[tr]\r\n[td]1st[\/td]\r\n[td]d8[\/td]\r\n[td]30ft[\/td]\r\n[td]14[\/td]\r\n[td]14[\/td]\r\n[td]14[\/td]\r\n[td]3[\/td]\r\n[td]3[\/td]\r\n[td]1[\/td]\r\n[td]Small (Fly Tiny)[\/td]\r\n[td]Str X 15lbs.[\/td]\r\n[td]N\/A[\/td]\r\n[\/tr]\r\n[tr]\r\n[td]6th[\/td]\r\n[td]d10[\/td]\r\n[td]40ft[\/td]\r\n[td]16[\/td]\r\n[td]16[\/td]\r\n[td]16[\/td]\r\n[td]3[\/td]\r\n[td]3[\/td]\r\n[td]1[\/td]\r\n[td]Large (Fly Small)[\/td]\r\n[td]Str X 30lbs.[\/td]\r\n[td]64 Cubic Feet[\/td]\r\n[\/tr]\r\n[tr]\r\n[td]10th[\/td]\r\n[td]d10[\/td]\r\n[td]50ft[\/td]\r\n[td]20[\/td]\r\n[td]16[\/td]\r\n[td]20[\/td]\r\n[td]3[\/td]\r\n[td]3[\/td]\r\n[td]1[\/td]\r\n[td]Huge (Fly Large)[\/td]\r\n[td]Str X 50lbs.[\/td]\r\n[td]800 Sqft.
