light-mode dark-mode visual lightmode darkmode editor text-editor
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I have the site in light mode because I have a very difficult time reading white text on black background. However, the editor only allowed for the white text on black background regardless of site wide user settings. I would like for the user's chosen light/dark/gray mode to also be reflected in the text editor.
I know a similar request was submitted before but did not get enough notes before being closed. Appologies for the double tap, but I cannot read the editor and thus cannot use the site.
What are other uses for this feature request?
It would make the site look better to not have clashing boxes of black on the light/gray modes.
It would allow for easier viewing if someone is working on a laptop say outside or in differently lit enviroments.
Black text on white background is the norm for most all text (books other websites etc).

The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! Light mode will be re-implemented, but we need to sort out the interface itself first. In the meantime, the UserWay accessibility widget we use has an option to invert colors, which essentially creates a light mode for World Anvil.
