(Wasn't sure what category to put this into, sorry)
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
There is nothing wrong with the current prompts page, and I am loving the recent surge in new prompts. Because of my recent love of answering the prompts, I thought it would be nice to:
Be able to sort between prompts we've answered and ones we still need to do.
Have a list of prompts we have submitted, either on the author's page or to be able to sort by author on the prompts page.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
As I said before, there is nothing wrong with the current prompts page, but I thought this could be something to consider (if it hasn't already) for the upcoming WA update. It will help us keep track of prompts we still haven't answered, and would be a nice addition to the author page to see what prompts each user has submitted.
What are other uses for this feature request?
None that I can think of, it will just be nice to have more things to play with :D (and because I want to answer every single prompt)
The Team's Response
Thanks for your suggestion! I love that you love the prompts! :D This is really two different features with different technical implications.
Filtering out prompts you've already answered would consume many system resources, as it requires creating a connection between every single prompt (hundreds) and every single user (millions). This will not be implemented as the usage of prompts isn't high enough to justify it.
Showing the prompts someone has created in their author profile sounds like a nice feature, but we've decided to decline it—at least for now. Prompts have extremely low usage: if you click a random prompt, you'll most likely see 2 answers or less (unless the prompt was part of an event). Dimitris ran some stats too and found out that even many people who voted in favor of this suggestion have never answered a prompt. Spending time on this feature would require pushing back other features that right now are way more important.
Still, thank you all for your thoughts!
