Adventure Book Template

New Feature Addition · Manuscripts · Created by im_knives

Good morning, All!!
I would LOVE a built-in function to write and create D&D-esque formatted books for writing single adventures or content. The manuscripts are OK for writing, but don't have the formatting for writing and sharing campaigns adventures or rulebooks. Something like Homebrewery (https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/), but more user-friendly would be amazing!
Currently, I feel like the manuscript is good for notes and open-ended campaigns, but there isn't a great feature to build a single-story, replayable, contained adventure. (Or supplemental material and rulebooks).
I could be mistaken, as I'm still learning the site, but all my research has led me to this conclusion.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! We won't add a new article template for this. However, many people use Generic Articles to write RPGs. You can also use Plot to write a one-shot/adventure (and a series of Plots for a longer adventure or campaign). Manuscripts will include more formatting options in a planned update too.

You can use the D&D-esque CSS layout templates and Generic articles for this. Alternatively, embedding a PDF is possible.

I don't use manuscripts personally, and perhaps the article template 'plot' might be used for some of this to some extent. However, I think it could be interesting for some people if it would be possible to be able to share and present their manuscripts in more personalized ways, as described in this suggestion.
