What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I have several projects that involve the main timeline interacting with alternate timelines, and there's currently no way to specify the alternate timelines in templates. "Pocket dimension" doesn't quite cover it, because alternate timelines can be much more expansive than that.How does this feature request address the current situation?
I suggest that adding "alternate timeline" to either the geographic location template or the natural law template (or whichever template might suit better) to address the issue.What are other uses for this feature request?
This would be of great use for both writers and GMs.The Team's Response
We suggest as our users have that you use the universe option from our dropdown, then use the custom field on sidebar --KEY::VALUE-- to specify that it is an alternate universe.

on 2023-05-20 08:10I think I personally agree that "universe" would cover it, and "Alternate Timeline" feels a little... off, since it's temporal rather than spacial. That being said, if it would be helpful to others, I'm almost always in favour of adding more options to the Type lists.

on 2023-05-19 09:33Personally I think I would use the Timelines feature as a work-around, and use either "multiverse" or "universe" (like an alternate universe/AU) in geography, but I wouldn't be opposed to adding "alternate timeline" as an option.
