race features:
Gentle Giants of the Barrens
Despite their enormous size, the Tauren are a peaceful and honorable people. You have a +2 bonus when performing Charisma (Persuasion) checks. You also have advantage when performing a Wisdom (Animal Handling) check on a Kodo (see Rhinoceros) or Wyvern.
Powerful Build
You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Spoken History
The Tauren have a long history as nomads, wandering the plains of The Barrens. Written accounts of their history are scarce and much of their culture and history is kept alive through word-of-mouth, making the Tauren particularly adept at recalling and sharing songs and stories passed down from their ancestors. As a Tauren, you have proficiency in Performance and History.
Child of the Earthmother
Though the noble Tauren are peaceful in nature, the rites of the Great Hunt are venerated as the heart of their spiritual culture. Every Tauren, warrior or otherwise, seeks identity as both a hunter and as a child of the Earthmother. You have advantage when performing a Wisdom (Insight) check on any beast.
War Stomp
When in combat, you can choose to stomp your hooves, sending out a shockwave. If there is a prone creature within 5ft of you, you can choose to attack it and deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your strength modifier. In addition, every creature with 15ft of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw equal to 1d8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier or be stunned until the end of your next turn, regardless of whether the attack hits or not. You can use this feature once per long rest.
Gentle Giant of the Plains
Despite their enormous size and considerable strength, the Tauren are remarkable peaceful, cultivating a quiet tribal society. However, when roused by conflict, the Tauren are implacable enemies who will use every ounce of their strength to crush their enemies under hoof.
The Great Hunt
Though the Tauren are peaceful in nature, the rites of the Great Hunt are venerated as the heart of their spiritual culture. Every Tauren, warrior or otherwise, seeks identity as both a hunter and as a chilled of the Wildmother (Melora). They seek to prove their bravery by setting themselves against the creatures of the wild. Despite killing the animals, they are taught at a young age, when they can wield a weapon, to never waste anything given to them by nature and to give back what they can. They are taught the fine balance that exists in nature and if they honor the Wildmother, she will bless them in return.
