Si Kheiyow
This small kingdom occupies a verdant peninsula and several small islands at the mouth of the Naksta River. They maintain their independence, trading with people who travel upriver to Sitaar. The bulk of their trade is with the Sea People and Shiruba, though they welcome trade with nearly anyone, keeping a strict stance of neutrality in the wars and political machinations of the region.
Busojida Port is the largest city and the primary hub of trade. This city boasts beautiful and ancient architecture from an age long forgotten. The original builders are a mystery but the current occupants proudly proclaim their city as "chosen" by the Light Bearer and thus were they spared the Turmoil. True or not, the port survived that catastrophe and the upheaval in the centuries since remarkably well.
Though the people of Si Kheiyow generally welcome trade openly, they harbor a mistrust of anyone and everyone, and they treat others with an air of superiority. It was their city, after all, that was chosen. Despite their somewhat off-putting attitude, they do not have any direct enemies. They are always wary, however, of invasion, believing that one day one of the larger neighboring kingdoms will come to claim them.
Within Busojida, foreigners and traders are welcome in the Lan district. This area is walled off from the rest of the city, closest to the ports, and where the majority of trade happens. There are strict curfews for all non-citizens and only very privileged visitors may enter the rest of the city. Soldiers can be seen patrolling the streets, keeping all business civil but there are rumors of another organization that ensures citizens and visitors alike follow the laws.
Naksta River
Where the river flows into the sea, the waters are an icy, sometimes milky, blue. The surface glitters even in cloudy weather and every surface the water touches holds a glimmering residue. It is unclear whether this is a result of minerals, creatures, or some other source, but it ads to the feeling of mystery that Si Kheiyow capitalizes on. They offer everything from driftwood to porcelain, skulls and even cloth that has been submerged in the waters. These items have a distinct, iridescent shine. Locals and travelers refer to it as the River of Starlight.
